Mentoring

Mentoring

At 33 Creative Group, mentoring means more than just guidance — it's about connection, understanding, and believing in young people, even when they don’t believe in themselves.

Our approach blends real-world relatability with professional structure. Whether it’s a young person navigating addiction recovery, a learner with SEND needs, someone at risk of becoming NEET, or a student on an alternative provision pathway — our mentors meet them where they are and walk beside them with steady support, real connection, and a focus on positive change.

We also work with students facing low attendance, mental health challenges, or social isolation — tailoring our approach to match their individual needs, pace, and potential.

Built around our trauma-informed 5-Part Mentoring Framework, we prioritise trust, consistency, and meaningful progress over tick-boxes and rigid agendas.

Our Mentoring Is:

📍 Relationship-led, not results-pressured

💬 Honest, non-judgemental, and emotionally intelligent

🔧 Tailored to each student’s needs, goals, and background

From college corridors to one-to-one sessions, we aim to be the calm in the chaos — helping students find clarity, confidence, and purpose.

The Programme

Our mentoring offer currently runs across colleges, schools, and alternative settings — and is expanding into a flexible, directory-based system. This allows professionals to select mentors who not only fit the ethos of your institution but also resonate with the unique needs and goals of your students.

All 33 Creative Group mentoring programmes are underpinned by our trauma-informed 5-Part Framework — ensuring every session is structured, impactful, and rooted in trust. While the core approach stays consistent, the content is tailored to suit each learner’s journey, whether they’re navigating SEND needs, low attendance, mental health challenges, or preparing for transitions into work or further education.

📝 Session logs and simple impact tracking (via our Mentoring Toolkit)

    Joe Roberts

    Creative Strategist | Storyteller

Joe trained as an actor and spent his early years balancing theatre rehearsals by day with DJ sets by night. That dual love for performance and music evolved into something much bigger — a full-blown creative career spanning filmmaking, directing, producing, graphic design, and storytelling in all its forms.

He founded two theatre companies and toured plays across the UK before launching 33 Creative Group, a mentoring and education company rooted in authenticity, creativity, and connection. Joe now works directly with schools, colleges, and local authorities to deliver powerful mentoring, theatre, workshops, and presentations — especially around male identity, behaviour, and re-engagement.

Alongside his frontline work with students, Joe also collaborates with senior leaders, safeguarding teams, and curriculum leads to design bespoke programmes that respond to local needs, support vulnerable learners, and create long-term impact across education settings.

    Connor DOyle

DJ | Mental Health Ambassador | Automotive Professional

Connor brings a powerful blend of lived experience, creativity, and emotional intelligence to his mentoring. Having faced and overcome his own challenges with mental health, substance use, and peer influence, Connor now uses his story to guide young people toward healthier paths.

He currently works at Jaguar Land Rover, performs as a DJ across Liverpool, and is a mental health ambassador for James’ Place, a charity focused on male suicide prevention. His journey from chaos to clarity makes him highly relatable to students who may be struggling with identity, direction, or emotional resilience.

Connor is a calm, grounded presence — someone who listens without judgment and connects through authenticity.

    Izzy Campbell

    Actor | Writer | Facilitator

Izzy is a passionate actor, singer, and drama educator with a strong commitment to nurturing creativity in young people. After studying Theatre and Performance at the University of Salford, she went on to work with children and young people aged 4–18 through stage schools such as Razzamataz and Footlights, as well as community arts organisations including Perception Theatre, Altru Drama, and Bigfoot.

Her own journey was shaped by the transformative power of youth theatre and the creative mentors who inspired her. These early experiences not only gave Izzy confidence and a sense of identity, but also ignited her determination to pass that same impact on to others. She believes the arts are a powerful tool for self-expression, empathy, and growth — especially for young people finding their voice.

As a mentor, Izzy is dedicated to creating safe, inclusive spaces where every young person feels seen, supported, and encouraged to thrive.

    Cal Connor

    Actor | Writer

Cal is a multi-talented performer and mentor from Liverpool with a background in acting, freerunning, and youth facilitation. Trained at LIPA Sixth Form and as a professional freerunner, he’s spent the past five years coaching and working with young people from a wide range of educational settings — including alternative provision, SEND schools, home-educated groups, and elite sports academies.

As a performer, Cal has toured schools and prisons with powerful plays tackling real-life issues — including knife crime, gun crime, anti-snitching culture, and parental imprisonment — with stage credits across the UK and upcoming TV appearances on Channel 4 and Amazon Prime.

What drives Cal as a mentor is showing young people that struggle doesn’t define them. Having overcome his own challenges with identity and motivation, he uses sport and storytelling to build resilience, leadership, and critical thinking in others. His sessions are real, energetic, and always grounded in care.

Amateur MMA Fighter | BJJ Purple Belt | Coach & Discipline Mentor

Harvey is a regional and national title-winning MMA fighter with over a decade in combat sports and five years of hands-on coaching experience. As a purple belt in Brazilian Jiu-Jitsu, he brings technical skill, emotional control, and a deep understanding of what it takes to stay consistent under pressure.

Harvey has worked with young people from all backgrounds — supporting them to build discipline, confidence, and self-respect through martial arts. His belief is simple: what you learn on the mats — resilience, patience, accountability — stays with you for life.

He supports students who need structure, focus, or a reminder of what they’re capable of. Whether it’s managing emotion, goal-setting, or identity, Harvey brings calm authority and real experience to every session.
